Privacy Policy

1. INTRODUCTION 


Purpose. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how Wonderific Ventures LLC, dba Cortado (“Company”), a Delaware limited liability company, collects, uses and shares information about you (“User”) through our online interfaces, website and mobile application (collectively referred to herein as the “Site). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.  User questions about the Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact the Company.

Scope; Third Party Sites. This Privacy Policy applies only to information Company collects at and through the Site. The Company’s Site may contain links to third party sites that are not owned or controlled by the Company. Please be aware that the Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. The Company encourages User to be aware when User leaves the Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal information.

Terms of Use. Please note that User’s use of the Site is also subject to Company’s Terms of Use.

2. INFORMATION THAT COMPANY COLLECTS 
 

Information User Provides to Company. Company collects information User provides, for example when User requests information from Company or otherwise communicates with Company. This information may include:

  • Name 

  • Email address 

  • Telephone number 

  • User Generated Content (comments, messages, etc.) 

  • Information Company Collects Automatically Through User’s Use of the Site 
     

Company automatically collects the following kinds of information through use of the Site:

  • Location 

  • Information from session cookies (including as described in detail below)

Google Analytics. Company uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) to collect certain information relating to User’s use of the Site. Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on User’s computer, to help the Site analyze how users use the Site. ​

Information Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies 
Company and Company’s service providers use cookies and other technologies to receive and store certain types of information whenever User interacts with the Site through User’s computer or mobile device. A User can reset the browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some Site features or services may not function properly without cookies. Company uses cookies to improve the quality of service, including storing User preferences, tracking User trends and providing relevant advertising to User. (See, “Advertising” below.)

No Information from Children Under Age 13. If a User is under the age of 13, please do not provide any personal information to the Company. If Company learns that it has collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, Company will promptly delete that information. If User believes Company has collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, please contact the Company.

 

Other Information Collected 

 

Purchasing Information – Company may collect information about User’s transactions on Company’s Site including what products Users purchase, how frequently Users purchase them, and any rewards or promotions associated with a purchase.

Location Information –Company may collect information about the location of User’s device, including GPS location, for purposes of enhancing or facilitating Company’s services, such as enabling the functionality of Company’s websites or mobile applications that provide User with information about stores near User, enabling User to remotely order and pay for products and services. Company may also use information about the location of the devices Users are using to help Company understand how Company’s Site is being used and to deliver more relevant advertising. 

Information Company Collects from Other Sources

Some information Company collects is publicly available. For example, Company may collect information User submitted to a blog, a chat room, or a social network like Facebook, Twitter or Google+. Company may also collect information about User from other companies and organizations. By gathering additional information about User, Company can correct inaccurate information, enhance the security of User’s transactions, and give User product recommendations and special offers that are more likely to interest the User.

 

3. HOW COMPANY USES AND SHARES USER INFORMATION 

 

To Provide Products, Services, and Information. Company collects information from User in order to:

 

  • process User’s purchases of or requests for products and services;

  • communicate with Users about orders, purchases, returns, services, accounts, programs, contests, and sweepstakes;

  • respond to User’s customer service inquiries and requests for information;

  • send User personalized promotions and special offers;

  • inform User about Company’s brands, products, events, or other promotional purposes;

  • maintain, improve, and analyze Company’s Site, products and services Company offers;

  • detect, prevent, or investigate security breaches or fraud;

  • maintain appropriate records for internal administrative purposes;

  • facilitate the functionality of Company’s websites and mobile applications; and

  • deliver gift cards or e-gifts in accordance with User’s instructions.

 

Sharing with Third Parties. Company may provide information to third party service providers that help Company operate and manage its Site and provide services to User. These service providers will have access to User’s personal information in order to provide these services, but when this occurs Company will implement reasonable contractual and technical protections to limit its use of that information to helping provide the service. This includes payment processing as conducted by Chargebee. All information collected and used by these Third Parties is handled pursuant to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 

Advertising. Company may use how Users browse in order to show Users ads for Company or Company’s advertising partners that are more relevant to User’s interests. Company may use cookies and other information to provide relevant interest-based advertising to User. Interest-based ads are ads presented to User based on User’s browsing behavior in order to provide User with ads more tailored to User’s interests. These interest-based ads may be presented to Users while Users are browsing our Site or third-party sites not owned by Company.

Company belongs to ad networks that may use User’s browsing activity across participating websites to show User interest-based advertisements on those websites. Currently, Company’s Site does not recognize if User’s browser sends a “do not track” signal or similar mechanism to indicate User does not wish to be tracked or receive interest-based ads. User can opt-out of receiving interest-based ads from us by clearing and disabling the use of cookies by User’s browser. 

User Consent. In addition to the sharing described elsewhere in this Policy, Company will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Company when Company has User consent to do so.

Legal Proceedings. Company will share personal information with third party companies, organizations or individuals outside of Company if Company has a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, legal process or enforceable governmental request; 

  • enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; 

  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or

  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Company, our users, customers or the public as required or permitted by law. 


Transfer in the Event of Sale or Change of Control. If the ownership of all or substantially all of Company’s business changes or Company otherwise transfers assets relating to our business or the Site to a third party, such as by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy proceeding or otherwise, Company may transfer or sell User’s personal information to the new owner. In such a case, unless permitted otherwise by applicable law, User’s information would remain subject to the promises made in the applicable privacy policy unless User agrees differently.

4. ACCESS TO USER’S INFORMATION AND CHOICES 
 

If User has questions about personal information Company has about User or needs to update User’s information, User can contact Company via the submission form on Company’s website. User can opt-out of receiving marketing and promotional emails from Company by using the opt-out or unsubscribe feature contained in the emails

5. SECURITY OF USER’S INFORMATION 
 

Company uses industry standard physical, technical and administrative security measures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of User’s personal information. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, Company cannot guarantee, ensure, or warrant the security of any information User transmits to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is User’s responsibility to protect the security of User’s login information. Please note that emails and other communications User sends to us through our Site are not encrypted, and Company strongly advises User not to communicate any confidential information through these means.

6. CONSENT TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA IN UNITED STATES 
 

If User is a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or other jurisdiction outside of the U.S., in order to provide our Site and services to User, Company may send and store User’s personal information (also commonly referred to as personal data) outside of the EEA, including to the United States. Accordingly, User’s personal information may be transferred outside of the country where User reside or are located, including to countries that may not or do not provide the same level of protection for User’s personal information. The Company is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information when it is transferred. By using and accessing Company’s Site, Users who reside or are located in countries outside of the United States agree and consent to the transfer to and processing of personal information on servers located outside of the country where they reside, and that the protection of such information may be different than required under the laws of their residence or location.

7. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY 
 

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Company will not reduce User’s rights under this Privacy Policy without User’s consent in accordance with applicable law. Company will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, Company will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of privacy policy changes). Company will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for User review.
